1982 marked the arrival of the LEGO Expert Builder series, later known as LEGO Technic. This line offered a more advanced building experience, incorporating specialized parts such as gears, axles, and pins, allowing for functional mechanical models. Additionally, the classic LEGO Space and Town themes saw the addition of new sets.
