LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes theme was part of the LEGO Super Heroes introduced in 2011 which featured both DC Comics and Marvel Comics with DC Comics sets launching first including nine sets in the first wave. 2014 was a very important year for LEGO. With the release of The LEGO Movie at the beginning of the year, LEGO was introduced to a whole new generation and population of LEGO lovers, collectors and investors.
