The Atlantis was a theme introduced in 2010 whose story line ios about a group of explorers that are searching the sea floor for the eponymous lost city of Atlantis from ancient myths. The theme reprises several elements from earlier underwater LEGO themes including Aquazone, Divers and Aqua Raiders. The Atlantis theme also has a more elaborate back story than its predecessors, showcased on a dedicated website. Each of the sets are equipped with a wide array of red futuristic underwater vehicles with light green viewports and weaponry.
2011 LEGO Sets
For collectors, 2011 was a significant year in that LEGO released the first Internal sets Moulding Machines (4000001) and LOM 2011 Moulding (4000002) which have paved the way for high value future collections. A few notable themes introduced in 2011 were Ninjago, Winnie the Pooh, SpongeBob SquarePants, Alien Conquest and LEGO Master Builder Academy.
