LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes theme was part of the LEGO Super Heroes introduced in 2011 which featured both DC Comics and Marvel Comics with DC Comics sets launching first including nine sets in the first wave. Prior to the first wave of sets, LEGO had given away different minifigure promotional sets various Comic Con events.
2013 LEGO Sets
2013 included a number of notable theme releases including the Legends of Chima, The Lone Ranger, Galaxy Squad, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Mickey Mouse & Friends.
