About LEGO Vidiyo BeatBox

The LEGO Vidiyo BeatBox theme, launched in 2021, combined physical LEGO sets with a digital app to create an interactive music video experience. Key sets in this theme included various BeatBoxes, such as the 43102 Candy Mermaid BeatBox and 43103 Punk Pirate BeatBox, each featuring a minifigure, themed accessories, and unique BeatBits tiles. These BeatBits, when scanned into the Vidiyo app, unlocked special effects and dance moves that could be used to produce music videos.

The LEGO Vidiyo theme is a hands-on augmented reality powered music video app with scannable minifigures designed to be the LEGO version of TikTok for minifigures. This augmented reality social video service let users create their own music videos and dance clips and share them with friends, all while applying their own effects and styles to the videos. LEGO Group partnered with Universal Music Group to provide licensed songs from actual bands to choose from. The content uploaded is heavily moderated and will prevent any clips of real people or personally identifiable information from being uploaded.
