About Gear Board Games
The minifigures under Board Games come mostly from LEGO chess sets, where minifigures stand in for the chess pieces. The Viking chess set has red and blue Vikings as kings, queens, bishops and pawns, with the horns glued to their helmets so they stay on during play. Later chess sets turned other themes into armies, pirates against the soldiers of the Imperial Navy with Captain Brickbeard and the Admiral's Daughter, Fantasy Era Crown Knights against dwarves, Kingdoms knights with a Lion King, a Chess Queen and a jester, and City police against robbers. A few figures come from other LEGO games, such as a racer in a red balaclava.
