Prediction Insights

Single-set exclusivity gave Dry Bones some early uplift, and its non-standard figure format narrows the buyer base and limits secondary-market depth, while ongoing theme reuse and active distribution keep remake risk and short-term upside constrained.

Minifig Facts

Review for LEGO set 71436 King Boo's Haunted Mansion from Brickset

“While I don't think there's anything groundbreaking in this particular set, I appreciate that LEGO is changing the focus from expansion sets designed as add-ons to the interactive Mario, Luigi, and Peach figures, and shifting it to more stand-alone sets that are still fun to... More play with by themselves, only to be enhanced by the digital aspect. The barcode tiles are still there, though, and they are obviously pointless if you don't have one of the Starter sets and a compatible device.”

About Super Mario Expansion Set

The Super Mario figures are not minifigures but small characters built from a few bricks with printed faces, and many carry a printed code that the interactive Mario reads when he lands on them. The expansion sets bring the familiar enemies, Goombas, Koopa Troopas, Bob-ombs, Piranha Plants, Boos and Dry Bones, and friends such as Toads, Toadette and Yoshi in several colours.
