Insights

Released in the late 1980s and long retired, Basic Set House and Car is an early Duplo with vintage figure elements, and its short production run has left sealed examples scarce; value is preserved by rarity, and limited crossover demand means trading activity is thin.

Set Facts

The set contains multiple Duplo bricks in blue, green, red, and yellow, with sizes including 2x2, 2x4, and 2x8.
There is a blue Duplo car base with yellow wheels, a yellow door/window frame with a red door, and a yellow arch brick.
The set also includes two early Duplo figure bricks: one female on a red base with yellow hair, and one male on a blue base with red hair.

About Duplo

The LEGO DUPLO theme was introduced as far back as 1969 and is designed for children ages 1 to 5. It features DUPLO figures which are much larger than minifigures and DUPLO blocks which are about twice the length, width, and height of a standard System brick. Like LEGO System, DUPLO also has subthemes that are often junior versions of System themes, like Pirates and Castle and licensed themes like Disney and Super Heros.
