- Robert Indiana’s LOVE sculpture is a celebrated pop art piece featuring the word "LOVE" in bold, uppercase letters, with the "O" tilted sideways. Originally designed as a print for the Museum of Modern Art’s Christmas card in 1965, it became widely popular, leading Indiana to create multiple versions of the sculpture in different materials and locations worldwide. The first large-scale LOVE sculpture was installed in 1970 in Indianapolis, Indiana, and it quickly became an icon of American art, symbolizing peace and unity. Versions of it can now be found in cities globally, serving as a universal message of love and connection.
