LEGO 521 1x1 and 1x2 Plates was a 80 piece Classic set released in 1962. This is the cardboard box version of the set. Different versions of the box contained various brick colors that include red, white, yellow, blue, green, trans-clear, black, light gray. The version in the US and Canadian had 30/50 parts and the European version had 24/48 parts.
1x1 and 1x2 Plates (set 521-1) is an extremely old and rare LEGO set. It has not been seen for sale online or in retail stores in good/new condition in over 2 years. Due to its rarity, the current estimated value of $30.16 may be much lower than its true value, assuming it can be found for sale. As this set was released in 1962, finding it sealed and in good condition is particularly challenging, likely driving its true value even higher.

About Classic Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 140 sets that ran from 1960 to 1971. As of today, 890-2 Lockable Storage Box is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $355.
