LEGO 71053-3 Gingy is a Minifigure Series set from the Shrek Series released in 2026, featuring 1 minifigure. The character uses a specialized cookie-body mold and has detailed printing for his white frosting decoration, purple gumdrop buttons, angry eyebrows, and patched icing on the legs based on his appearance in the Shrek films. Accessories include an oversized custom-molded red-and-white swirl lollipop.

Shortly after release, collectors reported that Gingy’s unique molded head piece could split along the sides because of tight tolerances at the neck connection. On October 7, 2026, LEGO acknowledged the issue and added the part to its Broken Bricks replacement program, with reworked heads distributed to affected buyers.

Set Facts

Gingy has crisp, high-detail printing that shows his white frosting details, purple gumdrop buttons, and angry eyebrows.
True to the films, his legs have printed icing details that show where they were patched back together after being ripped off.
He comes with an oversized, custom-molded red and white swirl lollipop accessory.
Some reviewers say the lollipop looks good but wish LEGO had included a classic candy cane to double as his crutch.
Shortly after launch, collectors reported that Gingy's unique molded head piece was prone to splitting along the sides because of tight tolerances on the neck pin connection.
On October 7, 2026, LEGO Corporate Quality acknowledged the design flaw and added the head piece to its Broken Bricks program, distributing reworked replacement heads to affected buyers free of charge.

Brick Fanatics

“Gingy is a strange one. It's a great minifigure and could easily have been a top-five pick if he were smaller. Seeing him with standard LEGO minifigure legs just feels odd, especially when he's the same height as everyone else. That said, the icing on his knees is a... More brilliant reference.”
