Mateo’s Fire Chameleon Reviews
BrickEconomy Member Review
“Matteo’s Fire Chameleon delivers one of the most visually engaging animal builds in the LEGO DREAMZzz lineup with its striking color blocking, detailed head sculpt, and vibrant use of elements like the pixelated flame tongue. The mech-style legs and modular clip-on options add a layer of creativity, though the alternate build feels like an afterthought. Despite strong minifigure selection and character design, the $55 price tag for 443 pieces is hard to justify—wait for a discount if you're interested in this set's standout design.”
Brick Fanatics
“71492 Mateo’s Fire Chameleon is rounded out with a minifigure of fellow dream chaser, Logan, plus a tiny Z-Blob figure that can be held by Mateo or placed on top of the mini mech figure to pilot the build. Unfortunately, that doesn’t feel like enough to salvage the LEGO... More DREAMZzz set, leaving us wanting more creatively from a set that retails.”
Brickset
“The main chameleon build has some excellent colors, and I particularly like the head and the large bulbous eyes with their slight movement. The legs are somewhat poseable, though there aren't many positions that make sense or leave the creature with any stability. The... More minifigures are excellently detailed, as is standard fare for the theme, but I do wonder if Mateo turns up in a few too many sets. However, fans of the show get plenty of choice to obtain the main characters and take their pick of the whacky sets available to them, and they're certainly eye-catching on the shelf!”
