About Santa Fe

LEGO and the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway collaborated in the early 2000s to produce a series of officially licensed train sets celebrating the railroad’s iconic Super Chief locomotive. The partnership began with 10020 Santa Fe Super Chief (2002), a detailed 9V train model replicating the famous diesel locomotive in its classic silver and red livery. It was followed by 10025 Santa Fe Cars Set I and 10022 Santa Fe Cars Set II, which expanded the train with matching passenger cars, allowing collectors to assemble a full consist. These sets were developed under official license from the Santa Fe Railway and marked one of LEGO’s first uses of real-world train branding.
