LEGO BOOST is a robotics set that teaches the basics of coding. Within the BOOST box there are five different models, Vernie the Robot, Frankie the Cat, the Autobuilder, the Guitar4000 and the M.T.R.4. Programming happens in a touch-based block programming app, and each model has its own programming blocks to match what it can do.
Harder programming areas open up as the easier ones are completed, and new levels and bricks become available as activities in the app are finished. Vernie, the main robot, can be built in a few hours and can roll in all directions, throw projectiles, dance and talk through a voice recording system. While BOOST is mainly about entertainment, it also teaches the basics of computer programming along the way.
