The LEGO Overwatch 2 theme was scheduled to be released in 2022 and was the sequal to the original Overwatch theme released in 2019. Overwatch is based on the sci-fi shooter video game and is licensed by Blizzard Entertainment. sets were never released due to concerns raised by LEGO about the game's association with Activision Blizzard, the developer of Overwatch. In early 2022, allegations of workplace misconduct and a toxic work environment at Activision Blizzard came to light. In response, LEGO decided to review its partnership with the company. As a result of this review, LEGO indefinitely postponed the release of the Overwatch 2. This decision was made to ensure that LEGO's values aligned with its business practices and partnerships.
