1965 LEGO Sets
1965 was a year of growth for LEGO, with the number of employees in Billund reaching 600. As sales continued to rise, LEGO expanded its manufacturing capacity and accelerated the pace of new product development. This year also saw a shift in packaging design—going forward, the primary illustration on each set's box would only depict models that could be built using that set’s contents, replacing the previous practice of featuring generic, sometimes unbuildable, models.
