The LEGO Duplo PreSchool theme, active in the early 1970s, was among the first Duplo lines designed for younger children. Key sets in this theme include "LEGOVille" (082), which featured a variety of buildings, vehicles, and figures to create a small town setting; "PreSchool Set" (78 and 75), which included basic building elements and figures to encourage creative play and learning; and "Train Station" (081), which provided a simple train station setup with a train, track, and station elements. These sets focused on developing fine motor skills and imaginative play in preschool-aged children.
1975 LEGO Sets
In 1975, LEGO continued to expand its product range with a variety of new sets and themes. This year saw the introduction of the LEGO Basic Building Set, which provided builders with a selection of standard bricks in various colors and shapes, along with instruction booklets containing building ideas. These sets reinforced LEGO’s core concept of open-ended creativity and served as the foundation for many future builders.
