About LEGO Homemaker Rooms
The LEGO Homemaker Furniture sets, primarily released in the 1970s, focus on buildable furniture and accessories for dollhouse-style play. Notable sets include 261 Bathroom, which features a bathtub, sink, and other bathroom accessories; 263 Living Room, with a couch, table, and television; 264 Kitchen, equipped with a stove, sink, and kitchen cabinets; and 265 Baby's Room, which includes a crib, rocking chair, and baby accessories. These sets allowed for detailed customization and imaginative play in creating household environments.
1979 LEGO Sets
In 1979, LEGO continued to diversify its product range with the introduction of Fabuland, a new theme aimed at younger children. Fabuland bridged the gap between DUPLO and standard LEGO System sets, featuring a mix of larger, easy-to-handle parts alongside traditional LEGO bricks. The theme was distinguished by its anthropomorphic animal characters, each with unique personalities, encouraging storytelling and imaginative play. Fabuland remained in production until 1989, making it one of LEGO’s longest-running themes at the time.
