LEGO PreSchool holds one DUPLO set, 2458 Barnyard from 1990. It builds a small farmyard on a green baseplate, with a brown fence that links together and red window and door frames. A brown horse, a pig and a sheep come with a feeding trough and a bush. The two figures, a grandmother and a child, are the early DUPLO kind built on a 2x2x2 brick.
1990 LEGO Sets
1990 was a creative high point, expanding LEGO’s thematic depth. Pirates, launched in 1989, continued to thrive with new ships and island adventures, pioneering expressive minifigure faces. The new Model Team line targeted older builders with detailed, functional vehicles emphasizing realism. LEGO Space introduced M:Tron, a red-and-black rescue faction featuring magnetic crane elements and transport vehicles, establishing a new civilian layer within the Space universe.
