LEGO 1990 / Town / Construction Sets

LEGO Construction is a subtheme of the Town introduced in 1980 and ran until 1997 that was based around various types of construction. Town Construction was later moved to the City theme.

1990 LEGO Sets

In 1990, LEGO continued to expand its product lineup with new themes and subthemes that catered to a wide range of audiences. This year saw the continued success of the LEGO Pirates theme, which had been introduced in 1989. Pirates remained a dominant line, offering detailed ships, island hideouts, and treasure-filled adventures featuring an ever-growing cast of characters, including pirates, imperial soldiers, and islanders. The theme's introduction of unique facial expressions and accessories further enhanced storytelling and immersive play.
