LEGO has produced various seasonal and holiday-themed sets over the years. These sets often coincide with holidays like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and Valentine's Day, among others. The LEGO Basic theme, which began in the 1970s, was designed to be a more general, non-thematic series of sets. Unlike the themed sets that revolve around concepts, the Basic theme provided a collection of standard LEGO bricks and pieces.
1992 LEGO Sets
In 1992, the LEGO launched Dacta, later rebranded as LEGO Education. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between play and learning, offering hands-on teaching materials for schools and encouraging the use of LEGO bricks in STEM education. By formalizing its educational division, LEGO emphasized its long-standing belief in the learning-through-play philosophy, ensuring its products had a meaningful impact beyond entertainment.
