About LEGO Service Packs Divers
The LEGO Service Packs for the Divers theme offered additional pieces and accessories to enhance the main Divers sets, which were part of the LEGO Town theme and released in 1997. These sets focused on underwater exploration and included submersibles, boats, and underwater scenes. The service packs typically included extra minifigures, diving equipment, sea creatures, underwater vehicles, and various aquatic accessories. These packs allowed builders to expand their underwater adventures, adding more divers, marine life, and detailed elements to their oceanic explorations.
1998 LEGO Sets
1998 marked LEGO’s leap into programmable play with the launch of LEGO Mindstorms, combining motors, sensors, and code for user-built robots. LEGO also entered digital entertainment with games like LEGO Creator, LEGO Loco, and LEGO Chess. New themes included Adventurers, following Johnny Thunder’s global expeditions, and Insectoids, a sci-fi successor to Exploriens. LEGO Castle revisited classic factions such as Crusaders and Dragon Masters, reconnecting with its medieval roots while bridging into modern set design.
