The LEGO Bionicle Playsets theme is a segment of the main Bionicle line that introduces brick-based environments and scenes rather than the typical constraction (construction + action) figures BIONICLE is known for. These sets offer a backdrop or setting for the Bionicle story, featuring locations, obstacles, and smaller figures.
2006 LEGO Sets
In 2006, LEGO introduced several major themes while retiring others, marking a year of transition and innovation. One of the most notable additions was LEGO Batman, the company’s first full DC Comics collaboration, bringing Gotham’s heroes and villains into LEGO form. Another highly anticipated licensed theme was LEGO Avatar: The Last Airbender, based on the popular Nickelodeon series. However, despite its strong collector demand in later years, the theme was discontinued after just two sets, making them highly valuable today.
