It began in 2014 with 10242 Mini Cooper MK VII, and most of the models since are licensed from the makers, among them the Volkswagen Beetle and Camper Van, the Ford Mustang, the Fiat 500 and the Land Rover Defender 90.
2015 LEGO Sets
In 2015, LEGO broadened its portfolio with new and returning themes. LEGO Dimensions launched as a toys-to-life crossover linking dozens of franchises including DC, The Lord of the Rings, and Doctor Who. New lines such as Elves, Jurassic World, Scooby-Doo, and Speed Champions debuted, while BIONICLE and Pirates returned in refreshed forms. City marked ten years under its modern branding, and Star Wars supported The Force Awakens with a major release wave. Meanwhile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Hobbit concluded as LEGO shifted toward newer properties.
