The LEGO Movie 2 The Second Part theme was released in 2018 based on the movie and based on the movie The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. Sets in the theme are based on the heroes of Bricksburg and their adventures to save their beloved city from LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.

2018 celebrated the brick’s 60th anniversary and the minifigure’s 40th. The Wizarding World returned after a long hiatus, spanning Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. New themes included Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Unikitty!, The Powerpuff Girls, and the first wave of Overwatch, while Star Wars covered Solo-era releases. Toys-to-life title LEGO Dimensions had wrapped, and Nexo Knights ended around this time.
