The LEGO Star Wars theme which was licensed and released in 1999 is based on concepts from the Star Wars franchise of films, comic books, video games, cartoon series, and other sources. The theme currently covers all main films, the anthology films, animated movie and TV series as well as the extended universe.
2020 LEGO Sets
In 2020, LEGO thrived despite global disruptions, debuting several new lines for both families and adult fans. LEGO Super Mario introduced interactive, course-building play; Monkie Kid launched with a modern take on Journey to the West; and creative-focused ranges such as DOTS, LEGO Art, and Brick Sketches broadened display and craft appeal. Creator Expert (later Icons) and Ideas delivered standout display sets, anchoring a strong year for collectors.
