The LEGO Star Wars theme which was licensed and released in 1999 is based on concepts from the Star Wars franchise of films, comic books, video games, cartoon series, and other sources. The theme currently covers all main films, the anthology films, animated movie and TV series as well as the extended universe.

LEGO Star Wars celebrated its 30th anniversary with commemorative sets, while the company advanced digital and retail expansion through immersive LEGO experiences worldwide. Sustainability research continued, with LEGO confirming it would not pursue recycled PET bricks due to performance limits but reaffirming its long-term commitment to greener materials and packaging.
