The LEGO City theme is based on city life with the sets depicting city and emergency services, police, fire, airport, train, construction, and civilian services. The City theme proceeded LEGO Town which was replaced with LEGO World City in before it was rebranded as City in 2005.
2025 LEGO Sets
In 2025, LEGO continued to captivate builders with a mix of innovation and collaboration. A major highlight was a partnership with Formula 1 celebrating the sport’s 75th anniversary, featuring sets for all ten F1 teams across LEGO City and DUPLO. The Nintendo collaboration expanded with Mario Kart sets starring Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Princess Peach, while the Australian hit Bluey joined the LEGO portfolio through DUPLO and 4+ sets tailored for younger fans. Rounding out the year’s nostalgia, LEGO revealed a Game Boy model under its Icons line, furthering its series of Nintendo-inspired tributes.
