City Space brings LEGO City off the planet, with rockets, shuttles, rovers and space stations closer to real space travel than the science fiction of most LEGO space themes. It started in 2011 with a space shuttle and a launch center. The 2019 sets were made with advice from NASA and centred on the exploration of Mars, and the 2022 sets went back to the Moon with a lunar base and rover inspired by NASA's Artemis program. The 2024 sets moved further out, with a modular space station, an interstellar spaceship, mechs and alien life. Many of the larger sets have opening sections and modules that can be rearranged.
2025 LEGO Sets
In 2025, LEGO continued to captivate builders with a mix of innovation and collaboration. A major highlight was a partnership with Formula 1 celebrating the sport’s 75th anniversary, featuring sets for all ten F1 teams across LEGO City and DUPLO. The Nintendo collaboration expanded with Mario Kart sets starring Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Princess Peach, while the Australian hit Bluey joined the LEGO portfolio through DUPLO and 4+ sets tailored for younger fans. Rounding out the year’s nostalgia, LEGO revealed a Game Boy model under its Icons line, furthering its series of Nintendo-inspired tributes.
