“The first impression of the book was very positive. Rather than go for a well known image from the movie for the cover art, instead they opted for gorgeous pre-production art by Thomas Zenteno. A striking piece that captures the mood of the Batcave. The book is quality made,... More with thick, heavy covers front and back with a matte finish and subtle embossing. The pages are heavy stock with a satin finish and high quality printing.”

“The book starts off with how the movie was made. It covers the whole process such as planning, scripting, to production design, rendering and post production. You'll get to see all the different sets such as the Wayne Manor and its Jokerized form, Batcave, Gotham City's... More streets and architecture, orphanage, Arkham Asylum, Fortress of Solitude and more. There are artworks as well as the final 3D renders.”

About Dorling Kindersley

Dorling Kindersley, known as DK, publishes the official LEGO reference and idea books, and the run here starts with The Ultimate LEGO Book in 1999. Many come with a minifigure, often one not sold anywhere else, and for some collectors the figure is the reason to buy the book. The Visual Dictionaries and Character Encyclopedias are the best known of these, and the popular ones are updated every few years with a new edition and a new figure.

There are big changes brewing in Gotham, but if Batman (Will Arnett) wants to save the city from the Joker's (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Maybe his superhero sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) and loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) can show him a thing or two.
