Duplo Figure with yellow base

The figures in DUPLO Building Sets are DUPLO figures, much larger than minifigures and built to a simpler shape. The oldest are the figure bricks of the 1970s and early 1980s, a 2x2x2 brick printed with a face, hair and clothes on top of a coloured base, used for grandparents, children, clowns and even a cat and a dog. Later sets have the jointed DUPLO figures with movable arms and heads, as boys, girls, mothers, fathers and police officers, and many of the figures from 2004 to 2010 are the LEGO Ville versions. They rarely have names, only a role in the family or the town.
