About LEGO Exo-Force Original

ExoForce was LEGO's mecha theme of 2006 to 2008, drawn in the style of Japanese anime and manga, and the Original sets are its first year. The story set human pilots against robots that had risen up under their leader Meca One and split a mountain into two halves, the robots on one side and the humans on the other.

The human pilots were the first LEGO minifigures with anime hair, big spiky pieces in bright colours, and each had a battle machine of their own, while the robots flew dark craft of their own design. The story was told in online comics in a manga style and in the catalogues. The sets combined mechs with movable arms and legs and bases that used bridges and towers on both halves of the mountain.
