LEGO 10029 Lunar Lander is a Discovery set released in 2003, containing 453 pieces and 2 minifigures. The model depicts the Apollo Lunar Lander and includes two Apollo astronaut minifigures and a small U.S. flag. Co-branded with NASA and Discovery Kids, it was a limited LEGO Shop at Home release rather than a general retail set. It is the only LEGO Discovery set to include minifigures and features unique NASA astronaut torso prints. A modern remake followed in 2019 as 10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander, marking the 50th anniversary of the mission.

About Discovery

The Discovery theme was a licensed theme both introduced and discontinued in 2003 which focused on real space flight. It was comprised of several accurate reproductions of real spacecraft in various scales. All sets in the Discovery theme except for set 10029 Lunar Lander did not include any minifigs. The box art of the LEGO sets displayed the Discovery Kids channel logo and mpst of the spacecraft displayed the NASA logo.
