10246 LEGO Detective's Office

LEGO set 10246 Detective's Office was a 2,262 piece Creator Expert set with 6 minifigs released in January 2015. It is a multi roof line modular set with three buildings and an alley way that includes the main Detective's Office (Ace Brickman) to which the set is named after, a barber's shop, a pool hall, kitchen, bathroom, terrace and an interconnecting section with balconies. In addition, it comes packed with a storyline which is based on the prohibition of sugar, where private detective Ace Brickman is trying to figure out who is smuggling cookies and sweets which is happening right above his office.

It was retired in March 2018 with a lifespan of 38 months. The current value for a new and sealed Detective's Office is estimated around $500 today with current average yearly gain of about 30% but will level off in the next year closer to a 14% annual growth making it a solid investment. On the secondary markets the typical price range for the set MISB/NISB is between $412 and $598. On the open market, a used set will fetch in the range of between $334 and $420 depending on the condition.
