Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree Reviews
Jays Brick Blog
“The Japanese Maple is a popular tree for bonsai cultivators, and this striking LEGO rendition with its red and orange hues is definitely looking to capture it beautifully. At 24cm (9.5in) height, it’s a good bit taller than the previous LEGO Bonsai, though the base is... More significantly simpler and it’s priced at an identical US$59.99 / AU$99.99 price point despite a much lower piece count of 474.”
New Elementary
“Despite the repetition found throughout the building process, the completed model is quite possibly my favorite to emerge from the LEGO Botanicals theme. The assembled set strikes a perfect balance between the real-world tree that inspired it and playful exaggeration that... More one would hope for in a LEGO set.”

About Botanicals Botanical Collection
The Botanical Collection is the original subtheme that launched the LEGO Botanicals range in 2021 under the Icons umbrella. Aimed at adult builders, it recreates flowers and plants entirely from LEGO elements for display as home decor. Flagship sets include the Flower Bouquet (10280), Bonsai Tree (10281), Bird of Paradise (10289), Orchid (10311), Succulents (10309), Wildflower Bouquet (10313), Dried Flower Centerpiece (10314), Tiny Plants (10329), and the Rose Bouquet (10328). The collection helped establish botanical building as a mainstream LEGO category and remains a steady anchor of the Botanicals theme.
Botanical Collection was introduced in 2025 and currently consists of 19 sets.
