LEGO 111-1 Building Set is a Universal Building Set/Basic Set released in 1977, containing 173 pieces. The assortment includes basic bricks in classic colors, plates, slopes, windows with shutters, a large pine tree, wheeled brick elements, and components from the Homemaker figure system. It was released only in the United States and was also referred to as “Universal Building Set.” This set is equivalent to 20 Universal Building Set sold in Europe, the UK, Canada, and Australia; U.S. packaging has been documented with piece counts of 162 or 203, while the Canadian 20-1 version listed 215.
