Insights

Released as a Japan-only promotional item and now retired, the Asimo Robot draws collectors from Honda and robotics niches and benefits from low remake risk, and its small, non-motorized Technic display format and limited demand mean trading is thin and appreciation has been uneven.

Technic-Dialog

“The Honda Asimo robot from the Lego Technic series was never offered for sale, but was a so-called promotional set for the then-developed Asimo Robot. An amazing model of the robot was re-created here from a few individual Lego parts. It has no functions, but because of its... More originality this model deserves three stars overall.”

Technicopedia

“LEGO released set 1237 as a promotional set with Honda. The only feature is a few pinned, posable joints. This rare little set is a source of a few very uncommon white parts. The model includes single degree of freedom pinned joints at the shoulders, hips, knees, and... More ankles. This allows a reasonable amount of posability.”
