Jays Brick Blog
“It’s a really bold and audacious direction from LEGO Architecture, which is mixing it up with this series of City skyline sets. This 1,456-piece model lets you build a very abstract model of New York’s iconic skyline, silhouetted against a dark skylit sky in the shape of an... “While most LEGO Architecture sets depict miniature versions of recognizable landmarks, or at times a skyline of a city, 21066 New York City – The Big Apple takes a more abstract approach. Since New York City has been featured in the theme several times, the LEGO designers... More have opted to recreate a stylized version of city in a monochromatic suite of colors, save for the bright yellow taxis.”

About Architecture Iconic Landmarks

Iconic Landmarks is the Architecture subtheme that groups a city's best known buildings into one display scene. It puts the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and the Guggenheim against a skyline backdrop, with Central Park and its yellow taxis in front.
