“Because of the way the set is intended to be modular, and fit in with the other sets in the range, it has to be able to come apart easily. This isn't easy, as the stability of the set is sacrificed. I kept knocking over the walls because of this, and got a little frustrated.... More The lava flow is a great visual, and the torches just look awesome. For such a simple little detail, they really nailed it. The beauty of this set comes in it's playability, especially when combined with the rest of the range. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on them soon.”

About Minecraft Minifig-scale

The LEGO Minecraft theme is based on the video game Minecraft and a collaboration between Mojang and the LEGO Group. Sets in this theme were all based on the traditional LEGO minifigure scale. Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Notch (Markus Persson) and later developed and published by Mojang / Microsoft. The official release occurred in 2013 with the first set, Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest, released under LEGO Ideas and was created by Mojang through the LEGO CUUSOO program in 2012. At MineCon 2013, LEGO announced brand new minifigure-scale Minecraft sets.

Minifig-scale was introduced in 2014 and currently consists of 129 sets. As of today, 21137 The Mountain Cave is the most valuable Minifig-scale set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,824.
