The Nether Portal Reviews
Is this LEGO set a good investment?
“As a Minecraft set, 21143 LEGO The Nether Portal is a good investment and has been slightly outperforming a typical Minecraft set with an average annual growth hovering around 9%. While not the best year over year return for this theme, it still is a terrific investment for collectors.”

“A perfect set with plenty of pieces and great minifigures. The ghast is new and interestingly built, the baby zombie pigman is great (and adorable!), the blaze is a nice addition, and you can never have enough Steve's. Especially with the nice armour pieces included. This... More set includes great accessories, and overall it's a great set for LEGO fans and Minecraft fans.”
“This is an awesome set for Minecraft and Lego fans! The ghast is fun to build. It can hold two fireballs at a time; it can shoot each separately. The set fits super well into a larger Lego Minecraft world if you use the portal as a standard nether portal and the portal... More concept in general is great for combining Minecraft Lego worlds with any other Lego world. Steve and Alex can travel through a portal and into any other themed world and vice versa!”

About Minecraft Minifig-scale
The LEGO Minecraft theme is based on the video game Minecraft and a collaboration between Mojang and the LEGO Group. Sets in this theme were all based on the traditional LEGO minifigure scale. Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Notch (Markus Persson) and later developed and published by Mojang / Microsoft. The official release occurred in 2013 with the first set, Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest, released under LEGO Ideas and was created by Mojang through the LEGO CUUSOO program in 2012. At MineCon 2013, LEGO announced brand new minifigure-scale Minecraft sets.
Minifig-scale was introduced in 2014 and currently consists of 101 sets. As of today,
21137 The Mountain Cave is the most valuable Minifig-scale set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,900.
