About Minecraft Minifig-scale

The LEGO Minecraft theme is based on the video game Minecraft and a collaboration between Mojang and the LEGO Group. Sets in this theme were all based on the traditional LEGO minifigure scale. Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Notch (Markus Persson) and later developed and published by Mojang / Microsoft. The official release occurred in 2013 with the first set, Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest, released under LEGO Ideas and was created by Mojang through the LEGO CUUSOO program in 2012. At MineCon 2013, LEGO announced brand new minifigure-scale Minecraft sets.

The Badlands Mineshaft (21263) toy is a hands-on video-game mining set for Minecraft players. This versatile building toy for kids features popular Minecraft mob characters and makes a great gift for boys and girls aged 8 and up who enjoy Minecraft explorer toys as well as kids adventure toys and building-brick toys.
Kids join the Badlands Explorer in an abandoned mine in the Badlands biome, where they place TNT among the stone and operate an explode function to reveal copper, gold, redstoneand amethyst crystals. They load up a minecart and head down the track to exit the mine. From there, they travel by donkey (complete with large saddlebags) to the Explorers base, with its bed and crafting equipment. Hostile mobs that must be battled along the way include a Minecraft cave spider, Creeper, husk and 2 slimes. For added digital fun, builders can zoom in, rotate models in 3D and track their progress using the fun, intuitive LEGO Builder app.
