It is the U.S. version of set 216, which was also sold in Europe, and examples were packaged with different brick colors including red, white, yellow, blue, and black. This American version included 8 2x10 bricks, while the Canadian version contained 7 bricks and the European, UK, and Australian versions contained 5. The set is part of the early 1960s Samsonite-produced LEGO range for North America, when Samsonite handled LEGO distribution in the United States and Canada.
