Set Value (New/Sealed)

This represents the current new/sealed value of the set 2x8 Plates since January 1961. Medium accuracy
LEGO 229-1-B 2x8 Plates is a Samsonite Supplemental set released in 1961, containing 10 pieces. Issued exclusively in the United States, it corresponds to the European set 229-1. The pack includes an assortment of white plates in 2x8 and 6x8 sizes, including early waffle-bottom variants. Designed as a parts supplement, it provided larger plates for expanding builds in early LEGO systems. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $26 within the next year.
2x8 Plates (229-1-B) is an exceptionally old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. Due to its rarity, the estimated value in sealed condition of $25.18 may understate its true worth, assuming one can even be found for sale. Since this set was released in 1961, finding it sealed and well-preserved is exceptionally difficult—making complete sets with intact boxes museum-grade collectibles.
There are currently no new/sealed listings available for 2x8 Plates at this time.
