Set Value (New/Sealed)

This represents the current new/sealed value of the set Passenger Train since January 1983. Medium accuracy
LEGO 2705 Passenger Train is a Duplo Trains set released in 1983, containing 12 pieces and 2 DUPLO figures. The set builds a simple push-along locomotive with a passenger coach and was marketed in some regions as “Play Train (Without Track).” Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $51 within the next year.
Passenger Train (2705-1) is a very old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. Because of its scarcity, the current estimated value of in new condition of $49.28 may be much lower than its true market value. Released in 1983, sealed sets in good condition are especially difficult to find, often commanding a premium well above estimates.

BrickTrains-Sets
“The Duplo 2705 Play train is a push along Duplo Train set. The set includes 14 pieces, and of those 14 pieces, there is two trains, and two minifigure. Unlike the 2700 Freight Train, it does not include any tracks, so the method of play with this one is either a addition, or... More expansion pack for any existing Duplo train sets. This would make a great addition to any Duplo Train set.”

About Duplo Trains

DUPLO trains have been part of the range since 1983, when push-along trains and DUPLO track first appeared. Electric trains followed in 1993, with a motor in the locomotive, and since then the line has come back every few years with a new design, a starter set and add-ons such as a station, a bridge, a tunnel and a level crossing. 10874 Steam Train from 2018 brought in coloured action bricks laid on the track, which make the engine stop, sound its horn, turn on its lights or change direction as it passes over them. The trains have also been a way to learn numbers, as in 10558 Number Train, and the 2025 trains are interactive too.

Trains currently consists of 50 sets that as of now has run from 1983 to 2025. As of today, 2741 Electric Train Starter Set is the most valuable Trains set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $489.
