This represents the current new/sealed value of the set Push-Along Play Train since January 1996. Medium accuracy
LEGO 2731 Push-Along Play Train is a Duplo Trains set released in 1996, containing 9 pieces and 1 Duplo figure. Also known as Railroad Express, the set builds a small non-motorized steam locomotive with a wagon designed for push-along play. Elements include a cowcatcher, a cab and funnel top, a 2x6 train base with movable hook, and a matching wagon. It features a DUPLO train figure and a brown horse foal accessory.

The 1 included duplo figure account for approximately 16% of the set's total value. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $44 within the next year.
Push-Along Play Train (2731-1) is a very old and rare LEGO set. It has not been available online or in retail stores in good/new condition for over 2 years. Because of its scarcity, the current estimated value of in new condition of $42.90 may be much lower than its true market value. Released in 1996, sealed sets in good condition are especially difficult to find, often commanding a premium well above estimates.
There are currently no new/sealed listings available for Push-Along Play Train at this time.

BrickTrains-Sets
“The set includes 10 pieces, and of those ten pieces, there is a push along train, a horse, and a conductor minifigure. The Locomotive came with one attachment, a flat wagon, to hold the animal in. This is another addition to a Duplo train set, because it doesn’t come tracks... More to have it run across. This would make a great addition to any Duplo train set.”

About Duplo Trains

DUPLO trains have been part of the range since 1983, when push-along trains and DUPLO track first appeared. Electric trains followed in 1993, with a motor in the locomotive, and since then the line has come back every few years with a new design, a starter set and add-ons such as a station, a bridge, a tunnel and a level crossing. 10874 Steam Train from 2018 brought in coloured action bricks laid on the track, which make the engine stop, sound its horn, turn on its lights or change direction as it passes over them. The trains have also been a way to learn numbers, as in 10558 Number Train, and the 2025 trains are interactive too.

Trains currently consists of 50 sets that as of now has run from 1983 to 2025. As of today, 2741 Electric Train Starter Set is the most valuable Trains set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $489.
