Set Value (New/Sealed)

This represents the current new/sealed value of the set Train since January 1964. Medium accuracy

LEGO 323-1 Train is a Classic Vehicle set released in 1964, containing 253 pieces. It was the first LEGO train and was a push-along model without track, using road wheels compatible with other 1960s vehicles. The build depicts a steam locomotive with a built-in tender and a passenger car, assembled from standard bricks and plates of the era.

Also known as Train with Trolley, it predates the introduction of LEGO train tracks and battery-powered motors in 1966. Design notes include a passenger car with staggered clear bricks and early elements such as waffle-bottom plates and closed-stud round bricks, and the set was offered for a single year.

A new and sealed Train is currently valued at around $1,822, with annual growth of approximately 8%. The average used price is $105 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $1,963 within the next year.

Train has become a rare vintage set, as set 323-1 has not been seen for sale in new/good condition online or in retail for over one year. Its actual value is likely above the current estimate. The last brand new Train was sold on eBay.

There are currently no new/sealed listings available for Train at this time.

The trains start rolling — “LEGO Group introduces the LEGO wheel, which has a huge impact on the LEGO System in Play. Introduction of this new component brings motion to LEGO play plus the ability to launch a movable brick-built train. As a result, the first plastic train made of LEGO bricks is... More introduced in 1964. Prior to the introduction of the wheel, brick-built trains, with wheels of bricks, appear only on boxes as an inspiration for what can be built with LEGO bricks, not as specific building sets.”

About Classic Vehicle

The LEGO Classic Vehicle theme from the 1960s featured sets that centered on creating various vehicles using LEGO bricks. Distinct from the more detailed and specialized vehicle sets of later years, the 1960s theme provided basic parts and simple designs to construct cars, trucks, and other common vehicles. These sets were a part of LEGO's effort to expand its product range and offer builders thematic sets that focused on everyday objects and transportation modes.

Vehicle consists of 24 sets that ran from 1961 to 1969. As of today, 330-3 Jeep is the most valuable Vehicle set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $3,082.
