LEGO 3314-1 Police Unit is a Town Football set released in 1998 for the FIFA World Cup promotion in Europe, containing 143 pieces and 4 minifigures. Issued in partnership with Shell, it was a limited promotional release and was also known as Riot Police. “This Police Unit set has mixed reviews across the internet. It’s actually quite a decent set on the face of it. It contains a couple of Police vans and 4 mini figures. It forms part of a set which comes together to make a stadium. The other sets make sense, being stages, a... More commentary box, light poles, and a medical unit. However, adding the riot police to the mix seems a little in bad taste.”

The football/soccer theme was a Shell promotion released in Europe in conjunction with the 1998 World Football Cup. A total of 17 sets were released with 8 of the sets being polybags of minifigures.

Football was introduced in 1998 and currently consists of 21 sets. As of today, 880002-2 World Cup Dutch Starter Set is the most valuable Football set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $295.
