“The Spybots in general were a good intro to the Mindstorms line. It appears that they aren't technically sorted with Mindstorms, but it is closely related. In my opinion, Technojaw was the best of the Spybots because its claws at the front are actually useful for grabbing... More objects, whereas other Spybots (including Gigamesh, which had decorative claws) could only push objects around.”

About Spybotics

The LEGO Spybotics theme was related to LEGO Mindstorms and featured four different sets, each of which includes a Spybot, a controller, a serial cable with an infrared (IR) transceiver, and software. The Spybots are color-coded, and each one has a different set of equipment attached. The software allows the user to program the robots and set up simulated missions for them. The Spybotic sets included a CD-ROM software disc which allows you to program the spybots. The Spybotics software allows you to create simulated missions for the Spybots.
