Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu is based on the eleventh season of Ninjago. Sets in the theme are based on the ninja's new vehicles from this season and focused on either the Desert of Doom or the Never-Realm with the collectable items being the Scrolls of Forbidden Spinjitzu. This was the first set wave to feature Spinjitzu-Slam spinners.

Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu was introduced in 2019 and currently consists of 10 sets. As of today, 70677 Land Bounty is the most valuable Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $394.
