- It is a collaboration between the LEGO Group and Ferrari and is a 1:8 scale model of the Ferrari Daytona SP3. The actual Ferrari Daytona SP3, costs a US$2.5 million, and is limited to only 599 cars.
- The model include steering, a V12 engine, an 8-speed gearbox with paddle shifter, opening butterfly doors, a removable roof and shock absorbers.
- A coffee-table book called "The Sense of Perfection" details the behind-the-scenes development of the set is also available and produced in a limited run of 5,000 which is sold separately.
- The price of the set was increased from $399.99 to $449.99 RRP in August 2022.
